Slow Down

slowdown

In today’s society, everything is about doing as many things at once in the shortest amount of time. When we do this though, we tend to forget to stop and appreciate the things we enjoy most in life. It’s getting close to finals time for many and the pressure and stress makes it tough to just stop, but sometimes we need that break. I want to encourage you to take at least 5 minutes each day to just stop everything you’re doing and relax. I personally like to go outside, pray and just enjoy the weather. You’ll definitely be more refreshed and less anxious. So slow down, take a break, enjoy life!

Support Preemptive Love Coalition with purchase of Love Never Fails t-shirt

This month Legacy will be donating a portion of our sales from the Love Never Fails collection to Preemptive Love Coalition.

Preemptive Love Coalition is an organization that works hard to provide Arab and Kurdish children with the essential medical care that they need outside of Iraq.  Legacy appreciates what Preemptive Love is doing because they are serving these children in a way that all people are called to do – out of love.  We are all called to love our neighbors and love our enemies because LOVE NEVER FAILS.

Preemptive Love also raises awareness and funds for these children by selling shoes called the Klash on their website.  However, if the Klash isn’t part of your style, they encourage you to still get involved in the cause.  Donating funds and raising awareness about Preemptive Love is Legacy’s way of getting involved.  Learn more about how you can get involved at their website:  Preemptive Love

Legacy Partnering with Go.Live.Serve!

Posted November 12th, 2009 in Legacy Movement Update, Non-Profit, Spirtuality & Christianity by aaron

GoLiveServe is an organization that is committed to sending and supporting Christians to serve and reach to the unreached in Asia and Muslim countries. Whether you are a college student seeking to explore a new part of the world or a professional exploring a call to work abroad in Asia, GoLiveServe can help you in your journey of discovery.

We’re excited about what GoLiveServe is doing because as Christians, we are called to be missionaries. GoLiveServe encourages you to live out this missionary calling at home and abroad, on a campus or in the workplace. Their vision is for you to go, live and serve.

Don’t just vegetate on your couch. Go.Live.Serve

Mission Minded

Posted October 25th, 2009 in Art, Cool videos, Spirtuality & Christianity by aaron

Saw this video today in church. This is a great reminder that there are still many who have not heard the name of Jesus. It reiterates what is said in Matthew: “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few”

However, I think the verse after is even more important. “Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Take the time to pray and answer the question – Where is God calling you?
